MEET THE BATON ROUGE CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY Our Volunteers :

“IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD.” – African Proverb

A famous African proverb stated, it truly does take a village to heal the effects of childhood trauma – resolving this problem is not just a job for the experts but for everyone in the community. The CAC team is joined by members of the community who we rely upon to work in different capacities serving our children. They are from all walks of life and often with their own stories of survival. What links them all is that they are competent and caring individuals who undergo training and preparation to do what they do

Volunteers are onboarded following a thorough background check, fingerprint check and several hours of crisis and trauma response training.
