CAC volunteers, as part of the “village” of caregivers who work with children, make a substantial contribution as part of an integral team of professionals that have committed themselves to the prevention, investigation, and treatment of child abuse. In their roles volunteers interact with other volunteers and interns, staff members, law enforcement, child protective service investigators, forensic interviewers, counselors, victim advocates, therapists, physicians, nurses and many others who share their concern for children.
