JOIN OUR TEAM AS A Intern

Through a partnership with participating universities and colleges and other institutions of learning, the BRCAC may serve as a site for multidisciplinary training in mental health practice.

Some notable examples of the types of training interns may receive are: use of evidence based interventions in practice with individuals, groups and families, marketing and outreach, and child abuse prevention policy and advocacy.

While interns come from many walks of life and offer varying gifts and contributions.

All interns must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be empathetic and sensitive to children and their family members

WITH THERE WAS SUCH A WARMTH ABOUT THIS PLACE THAT I COULD NOT PUT MY FINGER ON

“I met with you last week of June 4th to possibly become a volunteer of the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy. I must say that I was extremely thrilled when I left the premises. I called my husband and dad to let them know how awesome our sitdown was. I absolutely truly appreciate the time you allowed me to have with you and introducing me to your staff. There was such a warmth about this place that I could not put my finger on. So excited and eager to await the opportunities that will come forth from working with you all. ”
