Please join us for the inaugural Survivor Tree Lighting Ceremony, Tuesday April 7 at 6:30pm. This event is free and open to the public.
As part of Baton Rouge Area Victims Empowered’s mission to make a difference in the lives of victims of crime, the Baton Rouge Downtown Development District has been asked to dedicate an oak tree downtown to honor victims of violent crime. This tree, which is located on the North Boulevard near 9th Street, will be lit during the month of April each year, and will serve to commemorate those in the community who have survived violent crime.
