JOIN US THIS THURSDAY APRIL 9TH,
FOR A “SPEAK UP AT A DISTANCE” WEBINAR @ 12PM
For middle and high school aged children
The Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center is still operating strong with Baton Rouge law enforcement and its community helping children to learn about abuse prevention and how to disclose abuse. As with any crisis situation like this, child abuse subsequently increases. Largely due to working parents having to rely on childcare options that they would not normally use, and due to increased stress levels & lack of resources, children are more at risk that ever and need our help.
Since schools are not in session, children are left with little or no options to understand what abuse is, how to prevent abuse, and most importantly, how to report abuse.
This is where programs like “Speak Up at a Distance” can help by providing children with valuable information on defining and preventing abuse, while also giving them a virtual voice to disclose abuse.
Similar to the “Speak Up Be Safe” Presentations given at schools, “Speak Up at a Distance” has the same content, but is delivered in a unique way…. through ZOOM.
