FREE Darkness to Light: Steward’s of Children Class for Adults on Monday, April 12th @ 6pm

CATEGORY: Caregivers, Events, Featured, News Updates, Professionals | DATE: November 19, 2020

According to national estimates, one in ten children will be sexually abused by their 18th birthday.   This is why abuse prevention is so very important.

Adult education is the KEY to preventing child sexual abuse.

Stewards of Children is a two-hour program designed to train adults on specific, concrete actions they can take to protect children in their community from abuse.  For every one adult that takes this free training, it is estimated that 10 children are safer and less likely to become victims of sexual abuse.  Let’s stop child sexual abuse together!

Each class is taught by an abuse prevention expert from the Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse in our communities. For more information visit

If you are interested in attending, please register by 5pm of the class date, so that information needed for the class can be emailed to you.  Register in advance for this meeting:
