Capital Region Builder’s Association (CRBA) and Baton Rouge Children’s Advocacy Center (BRCAC) are joining forces to assist families in the Baton Rouge Area who have been impacted by trauma due to flooding. Both companies recognize the common mission of helping families restore their homes while doing so in very different ways.
The CRBA advocates for the building industry and those engaged in related fields, particularly being a resource to families rebuilding after the flood, while the BRCAC advocates for children and families who are impacted by many different traumatic events. The CRBA and BRCAC will work together to raise awareness about the services each provides to families and build awareness of the devastating effects of Child Trauma and Abuse throughout the lifespan especially those in the Greater Baton Rouge Community.
The two companies hope that their partnership will encourage other companies, stakeholders and community members to join the effort and to embrace that child and family recovery is a community effort and that all have an important role to contribute.
On September 29th, the Capital Region Builders’ Association will host a Golf Tournament, at Greystone Golf and Country Club in Denham Springs. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit both non-profit organizations. The event will kick off at 11:30 with lunch, 12:00 shot gun and end at 4:30 with awards and dinner, team and sponsorships are still available.
